Sonnet Eight

I see the snow-capped peaks which kiss the sky,
Reflected in the cool blue lake below,
And as the ancient mountains rise up high,
Strong thoughts of love within me overflow.
Cool waters drift out swiftly to the sea,
As palm trees wave a greeting to the breeze,
And Nature's spell is cast for all to see, Enchanting scene of beauty which will please. In winter, whiteness covers all the land, And springtime flowers brightly glow and shine, In summer rippling waves kiss golden sand, And coloured leaves the paths of autumn line. Absorb this beauty, free to everyone, Let its radiance penetrate like sun.
