Sonnet
5
When harvest moon shines
brightly in the sky,
And stars gleam clearly in
the Milky way,
I dream of one whose sparkle
can outvie
Night's splendour and the radiant sun
of day.
In summer when the fields are
deepest green,
And meadow flowers with
bright colours glow.
My heart and mind are filled
with thoughts serene,
As gentle waves of love
towards me flow.
In winter when cold icicles
are bright,
And pure white snow lies
thick upon the earth,
When darkest days of
twilight seem like night,
My heart and soul reach out
for love's true worth,
Come swiftly love, together
we can face,
The whole of life, which
warmly we'll embrace.
