This monopodial epiphyte is found in Burma, Thailand, Malaya, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Borneo, and Indonesia.

Light:Bright indirect light - similar to cattleyas

Humidity: High around 80%

Water:In spring, summer and autum - water well while growing. Ensure drainage is good so that soil doe not become waterlogged. Roots must never remain wet for long.

Temp: In winter night minimum should be between 16 - 21C ( 60 - 70F) Aim for diurnal range of 10-12C (18-21F) The record high temperature is 114F (46C), and the record low is 50F (10C).

The plant seems to produce prolific flowers and is one well worth trying.

Plants can be grown in baskets without additional material but humidity must be kept very high so another method is by using a material which drains very well - a mix of bark, stone, charcoal and the same open mix can be used in a pot but it is crucial not to have soggy roots.
