When the wind rustles through quivering trees,
And white cotton wool clouds float slowly by,
My mind is filled with thoughts of love that please,
Sweet friend my spirit soars to the vast sky.
When a myriad bright stars glow and shine
And the veiled moon shyly shows her new face,
I rejoice that your love is truly mine,
that my world is a happy, magic place.
Time matters not, for years that swiftly pass,
Can only strengthen bonds of deepest love
Which cannot shatter like frail brittle glass,
Our love will soar forever like a dove.
But if my love, you ever choose to leave,
My heart plunged into night, will always grieve.
