Large buds of pink perfection,
point upwards every year,
reaching skywards in supplication,
as Easter Day draws near.
Early flowers of springtime,
burst forth with joy again,
kissed by bright warm sunshine,
caressed by dew and rain.
Explosion of pink splendour,
true miracle of spring,
renewed life blossoms, rejoicing,
as church bells in celebration ring.
