MADEIRA
Volcanic land
lush and green,
Rising from
blue, tranquil sea,
Morning mist
caps mountain tops,
Rich earth
kissed by fine rain drops.
Exotic plants to
entice,
Orchids, 'Birds
of Paradise',
Beauty, colour
all around
In this humid
place abound.
Houses to the
hillside cling
Here in sweet
eternal spring,
Verdant island
kissed by sun,
Easily my heart
has won.
