Roses

There are few signs of love,
Quite like a rose.
The beauty and fragrance
It proudly shows.

These Roses I bring
To you today,
Are gathered in
A poet's bouquet.

The first is Red,
So bright and strong,
As though to last
Our whole life long.

The second is White
So clean and pure.
It has a lifetime
to endure.

The third is Pink
Red and White together.
It's strength will last
In any weather.

As I look at
These Roses three,
They remind me of
Your love for me.

The Red, your beauty,
So warm and deep.
The love and trust
You'll alwyas keep.

The White your love,
So deep and tender,
Melts me into
Complete surrender.

The Pink is
Red and white as one.
It represents our
Life begun.

There then are
The Roses three.
A gift of love,
To you from me.

Never to wilt
Or fade away.
Like our love,
they're here to stay.

And so to you
These Roses I give,
With all my love,
As long as I live.
