Evening Sky
(a Kyrielle Sonnet)

With ease the golden autumn light
creates a mellow atmosphere,
where dreams proliferate with speed,
in a romantic evening glow.

I think of absent friends and wish
the miles would quickly disappear,
so that we could meet and share again,
camaraderie of long ago.

With fast approaching velvet night,
such feelings now intensify,
and silently I shed a tear
while earnestly with fate I plead,

that friendships may again ignite
with phenomenal and utmost speed

May old friendships last and new ones proliferate!
Thank you for being a friend.
