When days are dark with clouds of grey
and loud howling winds lash out;
when hardships press, worries squeeze,
winter causes earth to freeze,
lift your eyes as snowflakes fall,
feel them brush against your hair,
watch them play hide-and-seek,
as angel's gently kiss your cheek.
Soon spring will come
with bright new flowers,
refreshing showers,
and snowdrops peeing out in fun
searching the sky for early sun.
Hold that image in your heart
then winter months
won't seem so dark.
