Canopy
A multicoloured canopy
in season bright fiery display,
with vibrant beauty once again
proclaims the end of autumn's reign.
Cold mist creeps slowly through the trees
and rises up to embrace leaves,
then settling there with some disdain
proclaims the end of autumn's reign.
A sadness lingers in the air
despite a colourful fanfare,
this vivid beautiful terrain
proclaims the end of autumn's reign.
A multicoloured canopy
proclaims the end of autumn's reign.
