Flowers of Friendship

I sit here in the garden
on a sunny afternoon,
and plan which flowers
I'll pick for you
each with a scented bloom.
Their colours glow
both bright and bold,
all of them are beautiful
some are even rare.
Each flower a secret meaning
in its heart lovingly holds,
these flowers I lay before you
their symbols now please read,
for in this garden full of mystery,
lies friendship's magic seed.

Pink carnation - I'll never forget you

Chrysanthemum - you are a wonderful friend, cheerfulness

Daisy - loyal love and I'll never tell

Gladioli - I'm really sincere

Heather (white) - wishes will come true

Iris - your friendship means so much to me

Pink rose - perfect happiness

Red rose - I love you

Tea Rose - I'll always remember

Zinnia (mixed) - thinking of an absent friend
