Remembering
Remembering close friendship shared,
thoughts race through the mind,
a myriad questions asked,
answers impossible to find.
How is he
feeling
as he walks
along the beach?
Does he still
hear my voice
or is it out of
reach?
Is he thinking
of me
as the wind
blows through his hair?
Can he remember
what he wrote
and the things
we used to share?
Are the
memories painful
and far too
much to bear
or pushed away
completely?
Has he even
ceased to care?
